A Traveling Thanksgiving...

We arrived in Tyler, Texas Wednesday evening and were reunited Darcy who had spent the last 12 days with her grandparents. We had a DELICIOUS Thanksgiving feast with Vonnie and John. Friday morning we headed over to Garland, Texas to see Uncle Cliff, Eric, and Cliff...and meet Cliff's new bride, Elisabeth, and his son Sebastian. Then we headed up to Oklahoma City to surprise our old friend John with quick visit. Tomorrow morning, we are off to Wichita for a surprise visit with my grandma!

We found Cliff and Eric BOTH sporting new looks! Cliff has grown a goatee and has REALLY short hair now, while Eric is sporting a short cut, too. I think Cliff has a cool "Simon and Simon" look now and Eric is quite dashing!

Tonight we stayed in Guthrie, Oklahoma....home of the nationally renowned fiddler Byron Berline. (He has recorded on four major record labels over the years and played for a while with Bill Monroe, and was the founding member of the Country Gazette. He also recorded on numerous movie soundtracks and was the one who advised Arnold Swartzeneger how to fake playing the fiddle in one of his earlier movie roles.) Grant thumbed through the thin little phone book we found in the desk of our motel room and was amazed to see Byron's number listed "just like a regular person!" Grant had exclaimed!

Love the action pictures! photographing kids is so much fun.
Since you mentioned Texas, would you happen to know the Harrah's in Houston? They adopted three Chinese kids as well.
