Conversations From the Twilight Zone:
(over the summer, Rayna has developed a most annoying, completely subconscious habit, of grunting repeatedly under her breath.)
Me (looking straight at Rayna): "Darcy, QUIT grunting!"
Grant (somewhat exasperated): "That's RAYNA!"
My Mom (looking up in astonishment): "It's RAINING?!"
yup, that's pretty typical of our converations as we all sit around together...moving from confusion to confusion! Obviously, the apple didn't fall far from the tree (sorry, Mom)!
Then there is our youngest...always making conversations interesting with her regular sprinkling of words and phrases used incorrectly. Like a few days ago when her daddy took her and her siblings out to eat. Rayna recognized the waitress and called out loudly in her excitement, "Look, Dad! We have the same servant today that we had last time!" ...really racking up the brownie points there, referring to our waitress as our SERVANT! She, obviously has watched way too many movies with princesses in them!

hysterical, on all counts!
I'm so glad to see you updating your blog more frequently lately, and am very appreciative of your words of encouragement left on my blog.
Sad to hear about little Harbor and Annika. My heart aches just knowing how the two little ones and their families are pained. But it is my belief that there must be something incredibly special about those forced to endure so much. Those around them truly start to see what matters in life.
I'm sending good thoughts and prayers.
Thanks for your sweet comments on our blog. You have a beuatiful family yourself. If it helps any we have those same type conversations at my house...usually with my husband sitting in the cormer scratching his head and saying what are you guys talking about!
That is cute!
