It's ALL About the ZEBRA...

For WEEKS Darcy has been scouring the stores for Zebra-wear...a zebra striped shirt or even just a zebra striped scarf...to no avail. She did find one zebra striped scarf a few weeks ago, but, instead of black and white, it was black and hot pink and that just would never do! Her team for field day (being held at school today) is the Zebras. Well, when you can't find what you need in the stores, there's just one thing to do...get out your scissors and make it yourself! So, last night, she cut up an oversized white T-shirt, tied it back together again, and layered it over a black tank top. The final effect? ZEBRA!

Darcy has just gotten so self-sufficiently independent this year. She creates up a storm...whether it is trying out new ideas in the kitchen or making useful items from duct tape (her favorite!) or material. She always has been my "can do" kid!
