Moving On...

Well, I probably had not mentioned it, but Darcy and Kegan broke up this summer (August?) after going together about 6 months. Tonight, Darcy returned home from the Homecoming dance (which she had to work at since she is on student council) and announced with a smile on her face that she and Hunter (also on student council) are now going together. (Hunter had been conferring often with Darcy and the phone about school work, etc and lately had been showing up a LOT around our house, so, not a real shocker!) Darcy always seems to have a crowd of boys happily following after her in her wake where-ever she goes, so it isn't always easy to GUESS ahead of time which one will be the next BOYFRIEND. (Not to say she has had many! She is quite picky and Hunter is only the second!) Just this week, Cory made a BIG DEAL of introducing himself to me and informing me that he had been eager to meet "Darcy's mom", while, the next evening it was Ryan and Hunter who "needed someplace to hang between working on the sophomore float and going to K-life (a Christian teen thing that Darcy goes to every Thursday)"...so, they wound up eating pizza, chasing around the backyard with the dogs, and sitting in our living room for a couple of hours.

Darcy always takes it in stride that more times than not, she is the only girl in a crowd of boys and seems oblivious that they all follow her about like lost puppies.

Hmmm...guess this means I need to get a picture of Hunter one of these days to put here on the blog! (At least HE does not appear terrified of Grant and I like poor, sweet Kegan always was!) He seems like a very nice young man....goes to church, is on student council, is polite.... We'll be scrutinizing him a lot closer, though, now that we know he is "the boyfriend"!
