The Zoo

This is a story Rayna recently wrote at school:
(I thought it was cute the way her memory of the trip she and I took to the zoo the day after her birthday during our own "skip day" had merged in her mind with the school field trip that I accompanied her on to the same zoo about a month or so later! When I pointed this out to her, she was initially upset at the "inaccuracy" of her story, so, I quickly pointed out to her that that would be called 'literary license' and that authors are allowed to tweak the details to make the story flow better or to make it more interesting! So, then she was happy with her story once more!)
