Harbor May Go Home SOON!!!

Elisabeth wrote today that Harbor might be dismissed from the hospital as early as this Thursday! The pulmonologist really does not want him dismissed before he is able to eat without a feeding tube, but the head pediatrician is concerned that the longer Harbor remains in the hospital, the more he is at risk to pick up a respiratory infection that would be extremely dangerous for him. So, it is, that they are conferring over whether to let him go home (feeding tube in place) or not in the next few days. He still is having a lot of trouble drinking and he is still being weaned off the narcotics that he had required for so long. He is still on many medications as well as breathing treatments and every three hour tube feedings, so caring for him at home (along with his two young brothers) will be very challenging...but, what a miracle and blessing that they are even AT this crossroad with their baby!!!
