Way Too Busy!!!typical tuesday!

We really ARE way too busy! Darcy had track practice tonight and then she had to hitch a ride to Springfield with her soccer coach for her second game of the season. She again (much to her delight!) got to play "sweeper" position (the position directly in front of the goalie). It was a close game and by all accounts they played hard and gave the other team a run for their money. Darcy wound up with a bloody nose, swollen lip, and a few more new bruises to add to her ever growing collection! Final score was 2-0. Darcy was elated when she called me on the phone to tell me how the game went. Even though they lost, it was a really close game and she had an absolute blast. Per tradition, they went to Krispy Kreme Doughnuts afterwards. Darcy is getting HOOKED on those doughnuts (eat your heart out, Adam!)! Darcy brought a Krispy Kreme hat home for Rayna!

While Darcy was playing her soccer game, Doug and I were at the fairgrounds having dog class with Ransom. (I had gotten home from work just five minutes before having to race out again for the dog class.) Meanwhile, Grant and Rayna raced off to the college to jam with the blue-grass band. I headed over to the college to pick Rayna up after dog class and took the two little kids and the dog out to McDonald's for ice cream cones. Then we went home and had time to fit in one Uno game before Darcy got back. Doug won. Rayna came in second. I came in a pathetic last--we are talking I still had a whole FISTFUL of cards when everyone else had gone out! Doug was quite pleased to be the champ--as evidenced in his victory photo (wearing PJ's and sitting on my bed).

Darcy arrived home just as the Uno game was ending. Darcy, of course, would not allow me to take her picture, but Rayna was delighted to pose for me in her new hat! And there is also pictures here from yesterday when Doug put on his new dragon shirt and begged me to take his photo. (At least ONE of my children still requests me to take their photo!)








(In case you're curious, Rayna decided the flash on my camera was so bright that it was difficult to keep her eyes open--thus the picture where she is HOLDING them open!)
